2006/11/04 Bilbao - Basque Open Go Championship

This year, for the first time The Basque Go Open Championship will take place, organised by Gozoro go club.

When: November 4, 5
Where: Bilbao Hostel - Bilbo (see location)

Regulations:

Pairing: MacMahon, without handicap
Rounds: 4
Length: 60 min per player + byoyomi 5 min / 20 stones
Size: 19x19

The championship will count for the European Ranking. Besides local players, international high level players will take part. All of them will try to get the typical Basque Txapela that will be given for the first time in a Go championship.

Friday (November 3rd)

evening: (Hosted in the hostel) Reception. Accreditations. Check in before 9 pm

Saturday (November 4th)

08.00-09.00: (Hosted in the hostel) Breakfast
09.00: Accreditations
10.00: 1st Round
13.00: Break for lunch. (Optional) The organizers will suggest a restaurant. Everybody interested should register in the morning.
15.30: 2nd Round
18.30: 3rd Round
night: (Optional) Bilboko martxa: advance

Sunday (November 5th)

08.00-09.00: (Hosted in the hostel) Breakfast. Check out before 10 am
10.00: 4th Round
13.00: Award ceremony
14.00: (Optional) Pintxo Poteo. Must known ancient basque tradition. Native guides will lead you through the best pintxo taverns in Bilbao.
